Further Progress
Okay... So we have the hosting. Just. It's taken longer than expected, but we have it. The layout? Great! Completely finished now. Thank Paul for all your help! The domain? Great stuff! But we have a problem... And I'm not sure if I'm just being stupid, but there appears to be no way around it. For example, say we have our hosting at example.example.com - That's fine. But what if want example.example.com and all it's sub-directories (aka. example.example.com/example/) to show up at Techzi.net/example? I don't want cloaking, and I don't want re-direction. Anyone? If you know a way around this, drop me a bell at David@Techzi.net - Till then, we're stuck.

Further Progress
I've nearly sorted out the hosting, and I have a someone looking at the template as we speak. With any luck, we'll get the blog up soon.
The plan previously, was to launch publicly on Monday, and we're slightly behind schedule at the moment. We're confident we'll get it out sometime soon though.
I've sorted out a problem we had with our domain, and re-done some of the new website graphics. The 96% of you Firefox users who visited the site in the last week, (WOW! This rocks!), will be glad to hear that I've decided there's really no point in using the Disable Right Click Software. We're buying a monitroing package called Mint. This will allow us to have more of an in-depth analysis than Google Analytics provides.
Weird things? Well, the highest screen colour anybody has viewed our site in this week has been 32-bit. That was 99.3% of you guys. A couple of you viewed it in less colours, but one dude (the exception), decided that 520-bits would do. What the?
It's been an action-packed (highly odd!) week. Rest assured I'll update you on any further progress.

Techzi.net & Geomap
Techzi.net is ours! Now we just have to wait for the hosting to get setup.
We missed out on getting the Techzi.com domain, as you may know, but the odd thing is, it seems to be temporarily redirecting to our website, Techzi.net - Dunno why!
And as you can see, ChipIn.com noticed we were getting a great deal of hits, money and interest, and added us a map of contributors! Click on any of the balloons to find out more about that donator!
Want to add yourself to the map? Go ahead!

ARGH! Pooey...
Donations going great. The domain? Not so much...
Someone has gone and registered the domain 'Techzi.com' within the last few hours, much to my disbelief. I can't understand why anyone would do such a thing! I daresay they were planning to try and re-sell it to me though.
Well have I got news for them. GET LOST. I am not interested. I am not going to buy the domain. I'm simply going to buy it off a reseller. Sorry about that one! I'm not interested.
In the mean-time, I need new suggestions. What domain name could I use in the meantime? E-mail me at wilki.david [at] gmail.com
Thanks!

Wow... O_O
I wake up and find an additional $401 in my PayPal account. The biggest donators overnight? A certain 'Darren Rowse' from ProBlogger.net who donated a whopping $200. A big thankyou to him! And Chris Cooley from Chris-Cooley.com who donated an impressive $100! There were 8 other donators who'll have their sites listed on the special 'Funding' page on the upcoming site once we go live. We've not got a set date yet. What have we started doing? Well, I've been doing my homework whilst trying to ignore the mass amount of flame mail that I've been getting. HostingI've come to you guys again. I need more advice. I had alot of people telling me that Kiosk.ws and Mediatemple.com were the best, and at the moment, MediaTemplt looks like a strong contender. $20 a month, but for what they offer, it looks worth it. The funds collected would pay for ages of hosting. Ages and ages... But again, I'll ask. What do you use? Who do you recommend? What would you like to see most of the money spent on? Current ideas and plans can be found here at the Techzi blog.

Incredible Progress!
With over $1000 already banked, I'm about to begin searching out options. For the domain, I think I'll use Google, but as for hosting, I'm still totally unsure. Several people have reccomended that I use Kiosk.ws, but it seems very pricey. But admittedly, it sounds very good. Here's what people have had to say about the drive... "Good luck Delta! You deserve it.Use the money wisely as the amount I've given you should cover your hosting for a year if you use;www.kiosk.wsThanks, Michael Cheney" "Repliqa threw in 250. I'm going to do another 250 too. Cheers, Mark Seremet"

I shouldn't have to do this...
Some superstitious person on Digg is convinced that I'm not who I say I am. 'I smell a rat.' Myanswer? He has a bad sense of smell. For evidence that I am indeed 12,check out the BBC website here. BBC, as in the 29th biggest website in the world, and as in Britain's leading TV and Radio company. There's even a photo there (Which I've set as my avatar/picture thing on ChipIn). I'vealso been featured on national radio once and on BBC Radio Manchesteranother time. Trust me... I'm David Wilkinson. I'm 12, and I'm out toget a Wordpress server.

More Info...
Since you guys asked for more info (in under 11 minutes of launch! WOW!), here goes.
What will the money go to? For starters, monthly hosting fees and a domain name. A small portion will go into ironing out the cracks in our new layout, something which is completely different from the current, tacky layout.
Timothy has seen a bit of it, and he was very impressed, 'Just like a professional blog now are we?' was his first impression.
The amount needed is larger than most of you have claimed, and yes. It is. But it will pay for quite a long time hosting, I think you'll agree.
Either that, or we'll buy our own server with the money raised and host it from home. My parents best not mind the electricity bills though! MUHAHAHA!
Anyhow, if you feel like donating, go right ahead! YOu can read about all the benefits of doing so in the previous blog post.

Techzi Fundraiser
Hey! My name is David Wilkinson, and I'm founder of tech news website, Techzi. The blog is great, and I've got my two friends, Timothy and Caitlin helping me out with it at the moment. But truth be told, Blogger sucks. At Techzi, we're looking to buy a server and get our very own domain name, so we can run Wordpress, the spiffy blog tool that is rocking this planet. To do this, we need your help. Being 12, it'd be hard for me to earn enough money to buy a decent server. Caitlin, also 12, wouldn't stand a chance either. And 11 year old Timmy has about enough for a packet of fruit pastels. Hence, we run into a big fat problem. Will you rise to the challenge and donate? Why would you want to? Well, on the new site, a special page will be created, on which, each and every one of you donators will have your name listed, and if you wish, a link to your website. Whether you donate $0.01 or $1000, you'll get a link back. The more you donate, the higher up on the page you'll be listed. The link will stay there for all of eternity... (aka. the whole time the site is up!)
